Privacy Policy

MedCat is a UCAT practice app. We try to collect as little as possible and we never sell your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

Practice activity. The questions you answer, your answers, scores and progress, so the app can show your stats and steer practice toward your weak areas. You can use the app anonymously; this data is tied to an anonymous identifier on your device.
Account details (optional). If you create an account, your email address and a securely-hashed password, so your progress follows you across devices.
Purchase status. Whether you have an active subscription or pass. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your card details. We use a third-party subscription service (RevenueCat) to tell the app whether your purchase is active.
Diagnostics. Basic, non-identifying technical logs to keep the app working.

How we use it

To run the app: save your progress, generate your stats and weak-area recommendations, unlock paid features for subscribers, and fix problems. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the app, under their own terms: hosting and our database (to store your account and progress), Apple (payments), RevenueCat (purchase status), and a provider that generates question explanations from the question content. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Children

MedCat is intended for users aged 17+. It is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices

You can request a copy or deletion of your account data, or delete your account, by emailing us at awsultan2000@gmail.com. Deleting the app removes locally-stored data on that device.
